EVERYTHING IN ONE PLACE

Club Updates for Fall 2026

A lot is changing this year — a new club name, a new home, a new recreation program, new pricing, and new age groups. We've put everything in one place so you can scan it, share it, and come back whenever you need to double-check something.

Hello, Wabash Valley Soccer Club.

Beginning August 2026, we are officially Wabash Valley Soccer Club. This replaces our previous public name (VCYSA) for all community-facing programs. Our competitive program is also getting a new name.

RECREATION + UMBRELLA

Wabash Valley Soccer Club

was: Vigo County Youth Soccer Association (VCYSA)

Used for Recreation, Kiddie Kicks, TOPSoccer, and all umbrella programs.

COMPETITIVE PROGRAM

Wabash Valley Premier

was: Terre Haute Premier (TH Premier)

Used for Travel (U11-U19) and Academy (U9-U10) competitive programs.

WHY THE CHANGE

Our reach grew. Our name finally caught up.

For years, our families have come from communities all across the Wabash Valley — Clinton, Clay City, Brazil, Marshall, Robinson, Greencastle, Sullivan, and beyond. Our new name simply reflects who we already are: a club serving the entire Wabash Valley, in both West Central Indiana and Eastern Illinois.

Lower Prices. Longer Registration.

Yes, you read that right — we're dropping prices.

For years, we had to close registration weeks before the season started — just to get uniforms ordered and teams formed. Thanks to our new reusable uniform kits, we can keep registration open through September 30 and lower prices across the board.

The New Jersey Kits

REQUIRED
FOR FALL 2026

Since we're transitioning the entire program to the new kit, every Rec player needs to purchase the new uniform for Fall 2026. After this season, the kit becomes optional — you can keep wearing your shirts until your player grows out of them, or get one through other means listed above.

KIDDIE KICKS KIT

Hot Coral. Bright. Reusable.

Kiddie Kicks players get one jersey that lasts for seasons.

The Basics

  • One bright Hot Coral jersey
  • Reusable each season
  • Wear until they move up to Rec
  • Shorts and socks are optional

How to Get a Kit (After Fall 2026)

  • Buy new from the club
  • Hand down from an older sibling or cousin
  • Borrow from a friend who's moved up to Rec
  • Pick one up at Goodwill or another thrift store

$15  Hot Coral jersey

Need to replace a kit mid-season? All Rec items — and Fan Gear (coming soon!) — will be available for purchase at Rec play dates all season long. If you lose a jersey, leave it at grandma's, or your player outgrows the one they had, we've got you covered.

Age Groups Are Changing.

Starting with the 2026-27 season, Indiana youth soccer is moving from calendar-year age groupings to school-year age groupings. This is a US Soccer / Indiana statewide change, not a WVSC-specific decision.

What this means: Your player's age group may shift compared to last year. The change affects every player in Indiana — not just our club.

PREVIOUSLY

Calendar Year

Players were grouped by their birth year — January 1 to December 31.

NOW (FALL 2026)

School Year

Players are grouped by school year — August 1 to July 31. Aligned with how schools and US Soccer organize age groups.

2026-27 Age Group Reference

Age Group Birthdate Range Eligible Programs
U3-U4 8/1/21 — 7/31/23 Kiddie Kicks
U5-U8 8/1/17 — 7/31/21 Recreation

UPDATE 4 / PASS IT ON FUND

Every Child Deserves to Play.

We believe a child's ability to play soccer shouldn't be determined by their family's bank account. That's why we're launching the Pass It On Fund — a dedicated scholarship fund that ensures no player is left on the sidelines because of financial hardship.

Welcome to Baker Soccer Complex.

The fields haven't moved — but they have a new name.

What was previously known as the Vigo County Youth Soccer Association complex is now officially the Baker Soccer Complex — recognizing a legacy of leadership and unwavering commitment to youth soccer in our community.

The Baker family's contributions to youth soccer in the Wabash Valley span decades — as coaches, leaders, and lifelong advocates for the game. Naming the complex in their honor reflects what they've given to our players, our coaches, and our community.

Got Questions? We've Got Answers.

When does Fall 2026 registration open?

Registration is open now. Early Bird pricing runs through June 13, with Standard pricing from June 14 to July 25, and Late registration available through September 30. Sign up whenever works for you — but earlier means lower prices.

Will my player be in a different age group than last year?

Possibly. Indiana youth soccer has moved to school-year age groupings (August 1 – July 31), not calendar year. Some players may shift up or down compared to last year. Use our Program Finder to confirm your player's age group and eligible programs.

I already have last year's uniform. Do I need to buy the new kit?

Yes — Fall 2026 launches the new reusable kit, and all players will need the new shirts (purple + gray for Rec, Hot Coral for Kiddie Kicks). After this first season, the kit purchase becomes optional, and you can keep using your shirts until your player grows out of them.

Can I hand down my older child's kit to a younger sibling?

Absolutely — after Fall 2026, getting a kit is up to you. Pass it down to a younger sibling, borrow from a friend, share with a cousin, pick one up at Goodwill, or buy new from the club. The kit belongs to your family — do whatever works for you.

My player outgrew their kit mid-season. What do I do?

Replacement kits will be available for sale at all Rec play dates. Just stop by the WVSC tent, swap sizes, and you're back in business.

We can't afford registration. Is there help available?

Yes — please reach out. Our Pass It On Fund exists specifically to cover registration for families facing financial hardship. Contact Melissa Brown at [email protected] or learn more about the fund here.

Is the club address changing?

No. The fields are still at 990 W Springhill Drive, Terre Haute, IN 47802. Only the name has changed — from the VCYSA complex to the Baker Soccer Complex.

What about Travel and Academy players?

Travel (U11–U19) and Academy (U9–U10) still operate under our Wabash Valley Premier competitive program, with its own pricing and uniform structure. See our Travel page and our Academy page for the latest info.

Is this just a name change, or is the club actually changing?

Both — but mostly the name catching up to who we already are. We've served families across the Wabash Valley for years. Our new name and new programs are about doing it better, more accessibly, and with more families included.

READY TO PLAY?

A new era of Wabash Valley Soccer starts now.

New name. New home. New pricing. New kits. New scholarships. Same fields, same families, same love of the game — now serving more of the Wabash Valley than ever.
